Shannon's theorem, also known as the Shannon Capacity, states that there is a maximum limit to how much information can be transmitted over a communication channel without errors. This limit depends on the channel's bandwidth (how much data it can carry) and noise (interference). Essentially, it defines the highest data rate achievable while maintaining accurate transmission, given the channel's conditions. If you try to send data faster than this limit, errors increase dramatically. The theorem guides the design of efficient communication systems by balancing speed and reliability within the physical constraints of the transmission medium.
