The Shadow of the Body
The shadow of the body is an unseen or unconscious part of ourselves that influences thoughts and behaviors, much like a shadow is a darker shape cast by a body blocking light. It contains aspects we're unaware of or reluctant to acknowledge, such as hidden fears, impulses, or feelings. Recognizing this shadow can lead to greater self-awareness and personal growth, as we confront and integrate these concealed parts. Developed by Carl Jung, the concept encourages us to explore these hidden aspects to achieve psychological wholeness and inner balance.
