The Seven Liberal Arts

The Seven Liberal Arts are a framework of education from ancient Greece and Rome, foundational for a well-rounded intellect. They are divided into two groups: the Trivium and the Quadrivium. The Trivium includes Grammar (study of language), Rhetoric (art of effective communication), and Logic (principles of reasoning). The Quadrivium encompasses Arithmetic (number theory), Geometry (mathematics in space), Music (study of harmony and sound), and Astronomy (study of celestial bodies).
