The Separatists

The Separatists, also known as the Confederacy of Independent Systems, were a group in the Star Wars universe that sought to break away from the Galactic Republic. They consisted mainly of star systems and corporations unhappy with the Republic’s governance and bureaucratic inefficiencies. Led by Count Dooku, the Separatists aimed for greater autonomy and control over their resources. Their movement ignited the Clone Wars, a major conflict in the galaxy. Essentially, they represented a faction attempting to establish a new political order, emphasizing independence from what they saw as a corrupt or ineffective central government.
