The Sensory Order

The Sensory Order, proposed by psychologist Donald Hebb, suggests that our brain organizes sensory information through interconnected neural patterns. Instead of isolating individual stimuli, it forms a dynamic network that constantly adapts based on experience. This network allows us to perceive, categorize, and respond to our environment efficiently. In essence, the brain's sensory system creates an internal map, linking related sensations and memories, enabling us to interpret complex sensory inputs seamlessly and learn from ongoing interactions with the world.
