The Rossington-Collins Band
The Rossington-Collins Band was an American southern rock group formed in the late 1970s by guitarist Gary Rossington and singer/double bassist Allen Collins, both of whom were members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band blended rock, blues, and country influences, reflecting the southern rock genre's characteristics. They released several albums, including "Anytime, Any Place" in 1980. The formation showcased their songwriting and musical skills following the tragic plane crash that had earlier devastated Lynyrd Skynyrd. While not as commercially successful as their predecessor, the Rossington-Collins Band contributed to the southern rock legacy and maintained a dedicated fanbase.
