The Retired Racehorse Project

The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) is an organization dedicated to promoting the awareness, adoption, and training of former racehorses for new careers. Many Thoroughbreds that finish racing need second jobs, and RRP supports their transition into activities like riding, eventing, or companion animals. Through educational programs, events, and initiatives like the Thoroughbred Makeover, the RRP aims to demonstrate that retired racehorses can thrive beyond the track, showcasing their versatility and encouraging responsible stewardship and rehoming of these athletic, adaptable horses.
