The Quantum World

The quantum world is the realm of very tiny particles, such as atoms and subatomic particles, where the rules differ from everyday experiences. In this domain, particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously (superposition), and their properties are only definite when measured. They can also be instantly connected over distances (entanglement). These behaviors challenge classical intuition but are well-supported by experiments. Quantum physics underlies much of modern technology, like computers and lasers, revealing a universe that operates with probabilities and wave-like phenomena at its smallest scales.
