The Present
The present refers to the current moment in time—“now”—the period between the past and the future. It’s what you are experiencing right this second, whether you’re reading, listening, or doing something. The present is fleeting; it quickly turns into the past as time moves forward. Mindfulness encourages awareness of the present to help focus and appreciate what’s happening now, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Understanding the present allows for better engagement with life and helps us respond thoughtfully to our circumstances.
