The Polish resistance

The Polish resistance refers to various underground movements during World War II that opposed the occupying Nazi forces. These groups engaged in sabotage, intelligence gathering, and helped Jews and others persecuted by the Nazis escape. They operated covertly due to the risk of severe punishment and aimed to preserve Polish sovereignty and culture. The most famous was the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), which coordinated armed revolts and maintained a clandestine network. Their efforts played a crucial role in resisting oppression, maintaining national identity, and inspiring future generations despite overwhelming odds.
