The Palette of Narmer
The Palette of Narmer is an ancient Egyptian artifact dating back to around 3150 BCE. It features intricate carvings that commemorate the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under King Narmer. On one side, Narmer is depicted wearing the crown of Upper Egypt, while on the other, he wears the crown of Lower Egypt. The palette also illustrates scenes of conquest and the power of the king, making it a key historical document. It is often considered one of the earliest instances of hieroglyphic writing and symbolizes the beginning of the Pharaonic era in Egypt.
