The Palace of Auburn Hills

The Palace of Auburn Hills was a modern indoor arena in Michigan, primarily hosting Detroit Pistons basketball games, concerts, and other events. Opened in 1988, it could seat around 22,000 spectators and was known for its innovative design and excellent sightlines. The arena featured amenities like luxury boxes, multiple concourses, and advanced sound and lighting systems. It served as a versatile venue for over 30 years before closing in 2017 and was later demolished in 2020. The site is now being redeveloped, but the Palace remains a significant part of Detroit’s sports and entertainment history.
