The Pacific Crest Trail
The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a long-distance hiking route spanning approximately 2,650 miles from the US-Mexico border in California to the US-Canada border in Washington. It traverses diverse landscapes, including deserts, mountains, and forests, passing through California, Oregon, and Washington. The trail offers hikers a chance to experience wilderness, solitude, and natural beauty while challenging their endurance. It is popular among thru-hikers who may take several months to complete the entire route, but it also serves as a destination for day hikers and section hikers. The PCT is maintained by volunteers and is part of the larger National Trail System.
