The Oslo Process

The Oslo Process was a series of diplomatic efforts in the 1990s aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It involved secret negotiations between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), leading to mutual recognition and agreements—most notably the Oslo Accords in 1993. These accords established frameworks for limited Palestinian self-governance in parts of the West Bank and Gaza and set the stage for future peace talks. While not solving all issues, the Oslo Process marked a significant step towards dialogue and attempted to lay a foundation for a two-state solution.
