The Ocean Carbon & Biogeochemistry Project
The Ocean Carbon & Biogeochemistry (OCB) Project is an international research initiative that studies how the ocean absorbs, stores, and affects carbon in the Earth's system. It aims to understand the ocean’s role in regulating climate by examining how carbon moves through ocean water and how biological and chemical processes influence this. The project provides critical data to improve climate models, helping us predict future climate change and develop strategies to protect the ocean’s health and its ability to sustain life.
