The Northern Way

The Northern Way was a regional development initiative in England launched in 2004 to boost economic growth and collaboration among the North's cities, including Leeds, Sheffield, and Manchester. It aimed to improve transportation, infrastructure, and innovation to make the North more competitive and attractive for business investments. By fostering partnerships across local governments and the private sector, the program sought to create jobs, enhance skills, and reduce economic disparities between northern England and other parts of the country. Although the formal initiative concluded in 2010, its goals continue to influence regional development efforts.
