The National Assembly for Wales
The National Assembly for Wales, now called the Senedd or Welsh Parliament, is the elected body that makes laws and decisions for Wales. It has 60 Members of the Senedd (MSs) who represent different areas and political parties. The Senedd handles areas like health, education, environment, and transportation, working alongside the UK government. Its purpose is to give Wales a voice in how it’s governed, ensuring local priorities are addressed while still being part of the United Kingdom. The Senedd operates transparently and involves the public through consultations and debates.
