The Motor Voter Act
The Motor Voter Act, officially known as the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, aims to make it easier for Americans to register and vote. It requires states to offer voter registration opportunities at motor vehicle offices, so when you get or renew your driver's license, you can also register to vote. The law also allows registration by mail and at other public agencies. Its goal is to increase voter participation by removing barriers to registration, ensuring more eligible people can have their say in elections.
