The mole concept is a way scientists count tiny particles like atoms or molecules, which are too small to see directly. A mole is defined as the amount of substance containing exactly 6.022 x 10²³ particles—called Avogadro’s number. Think of it as a "chemist’s dozen," but instead of 12, it’s that specific large number.
