The Mirror Image Rule

The Mirror Image Rule is a legal principle used in contract law. It states that when an offer is made, the acceptance must exactly match the terms of the offer for a valid contract to form. If the acceptance changes or adds new terms, it is not a true acceptance but a counteroffer, which rejects the original offer. Essentially, the acceptance must mirror the offer precisely, like a mirror reflecting an image, to create a binding agreement.
