The Mayflower Society
The Mayflower Society is an organization that honors individuals who can trace their direct ancestor’s voyage on the Mayflower, the ship that brought Pilgrims to America in 1620. Founded in 1897, its purpose is to preserve the history of these early settlers and recognize their descendants. Members uphold historical and patriotic values, often participating in educational activities and commemorations. To join, proof of descent from a Mayflower passenger is required. It serves as both a genealogical resource and a community dedicated to preserving early American history.
