The Lunar Module

The Lunar Module was a specialized spacecraft developed by NASA for moon landings during the Apollo missions. It consisted of two parts: the descent stage, which contained engines and landing gear to gently touch down on the lunar surface, and the ascent stage, which housed the astronauts and their equipment to take off from the moon and return to the command module in orbit. Designed for precision landing, the Lunar Module provided a safe and efficient means for astronauts to explore the moon's surface, conduct scientific experiments, and return safely to Earth.
