The Love Triangle Theory
The Love Triangle Theory, developed by psychologist Robert Sternberg, suggests that love can be understood through three components: intimacy (emotional closeness), passion (physical attraction and desire), and commitment (decision to maintain the relationship). Different combinations of these create various types of love; for instance, romantic love combines intimacy and passion, while consummate love includes all three. The theory highlights that a balanced relationship involves integrating all components, but different relationships may emphasize some aspects over others, influencing their stability and depth.
