The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) is a nonprofit organization that supports the law school admissions process in the United States and Canada. It develops and administers the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), a standardized exam necessary for law school admission. Additionally, LSAC manages candidate applications, provides resources for prospective students, and maintains the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), which compiles academic records and recommendation letters for law schools. Its goal is to streamline and facilitate fair, consistent, and efficient admission procedures across participating law schools.
