The Kinsey Scale

The Kinsey Scale is a tool developed by Alfred Kinsey to describe human sexual orientation on a spectrum rather than as fixed categories. It ranges from 0 (exclusively heterosexual) to 6 (exclusively homosexual), with intermediate scores indicating varying degrees of bisexuality. For example, someone scoring a 2 might mostly be attracted to the opposite sex but occasionally to the same sex. The scale recognizes that sexual orientation is fluid and can change over time, emphasizing that many people don’t fit into strict labels but exist somewhere along this continuum.
