The Kingdom of Kush

The Kingdom of Kush was an ancient African civilization located to the south of Egypt, mainly in present-day Sudan. It thrived from around 2600 BCE to 350 CE, known for its rich resources, powerful rulers, and unique culture. The Kushites built impressive pyramids and temples and had their own writing system. They often interacted with Egypt, sometimes as rivals and other times as rulers, notably during the 25th Dynasty when Kush conquered Egypt. The kingdom was known for its gold mines and trade, playing a significant role in the region's history and development over centuries.
