The Joust

The Joust is a historical sport originating from medieval times, where two armored knights, mounted on horses, charged at each other with lances. The goal was to unseat the opponent from their horse by striking them with the lance while staying on one's own horse. It was a test of strength, skill, and bravery, often part of tournaments that included various competitions. Jousting symbolized chivalry and was a popular form of entertainment during the Middle Ages, showcasing the knights' combat abilities and providing a spectacle for spectators. Today, it is often reenacted at festivals and medieval fairs.
