The Johari Window
The Johari Window is a tool that helps us understand ourselves and how we relate to others. It has four parts: what we know about ourselves and others know (open), what we know but others don’t (hidden), what others see but we don’t (blind), and what neither knows (unknown). By sharing more about ourselves and gaining feedback, we can expand the open area, improving communication, trust, and self-awareness. It’s a way to explore and develop understanding in personal and professional relationships.
