The Java Man

Java Man refers to the fossilized remains of an early human ancestor discovered on the Indonesian island of Java in the late 19th century. These remains, mainly fragments of a skull and thighbone, date back approximately 1.5 million years. Java Man is important because it provides evidence of early human evolution in Asia and helps scientists understand how humans originated and spread across different regions. It is classified as Homo erectus, an early human species that was more advanced than earlier primates but not yet modern humans.
