The International Writers' Program
The writers-program">International Writers' Program (IWP) is an initiative based at the University of Iowa that brings together writers from around the world. Founded in 1967, it provides a platform for authors to engage in creative exchange, share their work, and experience American culture. Over several months, selected writers participate in workshops, seminars, and public readings, which enhance their craft and broaden their perspectives. By fostering international collaboration, the IWP aims to promote understanding and appreciation of diverse literary voices and cultures, contributing to dialogue in an increasingly interconnected world.
