The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is a global organization dedicated to promoting children’s literature and fostering a lifelong love of reading among young people. Founded in 1953, it connects individuals and organizations worldwide to improve access to quality books and support authors, illustrators, and librarians. IBBY also recognizes outstanding children’s books through awards and advocates for children's right to read. Its mission is to inspire cultural understanding and literacy through the power of storytelling, helping children develop knowledge, empathy, and creativity.
