The Internalist Way
The Internalist Way is a perspective in philosophy of mind and epistemology that emphasizes internal states—such as beliefs, thoughts, or justifications—as central to understanding knowledge and rationality. It holds that what counts as justified or as knowledge depends on factors accessible to a person's internal perspective, like their reasoning processes or mental evidence. In other words, justification is based on what the individual internally perceives or justifies, rather than external factors beyond their awareness. This approach focuses on internal cognitive conditions as the key to understanding how we come to know or justify beliefs.
