The History of Mary Prince

Mary Prince was a woman born around 1788 in Bermuda who experienced the brutal realities of slavery. She was sold multiple times and endured harsh treatment before escaping to freedom in England in 1828. Her autobiography, "The History of Mary Prince," published in 1831, was the first account of a black woman’s life to be published in the UK, helping to expose the inhumanity of slavery.
