The Great Silence
The Great Silence, also known as the Fermi Paradox, is the apparent contradiction between the high probability of extraterrestrial life existing elsewhere in the universe and the lack of any observed evidence or contact with such civilizations. Despite billions of stars and planets, humanity has not detected signals or signs of other intelligent beings. This raises questions about whether advanced civilizations are rare, self-destructive, or intentionally avoiding contact, or if our methods of detection are insufficient. The Great Silence highlights our current limitations in understanding the universe's broader cosmic ecology.
