The Great Patriot War

The Great Patriot War (1812–1814) was a conflict between the United States and Britain, largely over trade restrictions, impressment of sailors, and territorial disputes. It was fought mainly along the US-Canada border and Atlantic coast. The war saw pivotal battles, like the Battle of New Orleans, and increased national pride in the US. It ended with the Treaty of Ghent, which restored pre-war borders and addressed some issues, but did not significantly alter territorial boundaries. The war reinforced US sovereignty and fostered a sense of unity and patriotism among Americans.
