The Genocides

Genocides are deliberate, systematic efforts to eliminate entire groups of people based on their identity, such as ethnicity, religion, or nationality. These acts often involve mass killings, forced migrations, and destruction of cultural symbols. Examples include the Holocaust during World War II, the Rwandan genocide in 1994, and the Armenian genocide in 1915. Such atrocities stem from hatred, prejudice, and political motives, causing immense human suffering and loss. Recognizing genocides helps us understand the importance of preventing future atrocities through justice, education, and human rights protections.
