The Game Master (Dungeon Master)
The Game Master, often called the Dungeon Master, is the person who organizes and guides a tabletop role-playing game. They create the story, set the scene, and control the environment and non-player characters. Their role is to facilitate the game, interpret rules, and ensure everyone has an engaging experience. They respond to players' decisions, adapt the narrative, and maintain a balanced, immersive adventure. Essentially, the Game Master acts as both narrator and referee, shaping the game's flow while allowing players to explore and influence the story within the framework of shared storytelling.
