The G8

The G8, or Group of Eight, was an association of eight of the world's major advanced economies—Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It served as a forum for these nations to discuss and coordinate policies on global issues like economic stability, security, and climate change. Although it no longer functions as a formal group, its meetings helped shape international cooperation among some of the most influential countries, facilitating dialogue on pressing global challenges and promoting collaborative solutions.
