the fourth dimension

The fourth dimension extends our understanding of space beyond the familiar three dimensions (length, width, height) by adding a new factor: time or an additional spatial dimension. In physics, especially relativity, the fourth dimension is often time, creating a four-dimensional space-time continuum where events are described by their location in space and their occurrence in time. Conceptually, it means positions are not just points in space but include when they happen. Visualizing it is challenging because our brains are wired for three dimensions, but mathematically, it helps model the universe more accurately.
