The Four Components of NVC
The Four Components of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) are a way to express ourselves and understand others effectively. They are: 1. **Observations:** Clearly noticing and describing what is happening without judgment or interpretation. 2. **Feelings:** Recognizing and naming our emotions in response to what we observe. 3. **Needs:** Identifying the underlying needs or values that are connected to our feelings. 4. **Requests:** Asking for specific actions that can meet our needs, expressed kindly and clearly. Together, these components foster honest dialogue and mutual understanding.
