The Forgotten Army
The Forgotten Army refers to the Indian National Army (INA), a military force formed during World War II by Indian nationalists seeking independence from British rule. Led by Subhas Chandra Bose, the INA allied with Japan in hopes of freeing India from colonial rule. Despite its efforts, the army was ultimately unsuccessful and was disbanded. Over time, its role was overshadowed by other independence movements, leading some to overlook its significance. Today, the INA is remembered as a symbol of Indian patriotism and the fight for independence, though its contributions are sometimes less recognized in mainstream history.
