The Flying Tigers
The Flying Tigers were a group of American volunteer pilots who fought for China during World War II, before the United States officially entered the war. Formally known as the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG), they were recruited to help defend China against Japanese forces. They became famous for their distinctive shark-faced fighter planes and accomplished aerial combat skills. Their efforts significantly boosted Chinese morale and provided critical support in the early part of the war. The Flying Tigers are remembered as heroes for their bravery and contribution to the fight against fascism in Asia.
