The Flow Theory
Flow Theory, developed by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, describes a mental state where a person becomes fully immersed and focused on an activity, leading to a sense of effortless control and enjoyment. This occurs when the challenge of the task matches the individual's skill level, creating a balanced experience. In this state, time seems to distort, and motivation increases because the activity is intrinsically rewarding. Flow is often experienced during activities like sports, art, or work tasks that are engaging and require full attention, fostering peak performance and personal fulfillment.
