The Five Disciplines
The Five Disciplines are a framework for organizational learning and development. They include Personal Mastery—individual growth and clarity of purpose; Mental Models—challenging assumptions to foster better thinking; Shared Vision—building a common purpose to align efforts; Team Learning—collaborative learning to leverage collective intelligence; and Systems Thinking—seeing the organization as a whole, understanding interconnected parts to identify leverage points. Together, these disciplines promote continuous improvement, adaptability, and innovation by cultivating a learning culture at both individual and organizational levels.
