The Fisher Method
The Fisher Method is a statistical technique used to combine results from multiple independent studies or tests to determine an overall significance. It works by taking the p-values (which measure the likelihood that the results occurred by chance) from each study, converting them into a special number, and then combining these numbers into a single value. This combined value helps assess whether, overall, the evidence across all studies suggests a genuine effect or finding. The Fisher Method is especially useful when individual studies have small effects but together can show a meaningful pattern.
