The First Critique
Immanuel Kant’s "The First Critique," or *Critique of Pure Reason*, explores how we understand the world. It argues that our knowledge isn’t just based on what we observe (experience) or innate ideas alone but on a combination: our mind actively organizes experiences using certain built-in structures (like space and time). These structures shape how we perceive reality, making knowledge possible. Kant emphasizes that while we can know things as they appear to us, we can't fully know things-in-themselves—reality beyond our perception. This work challenges assumptions about certainty and the limits of human understanding.
