The Field

A field is a way to describe how a force or influence extends across space. Think of it as a map that shows how certain properties, like gravity or magnetism, are spread out around objects. For example, Earth's gravity pulls objects toward it, and this pull exists everywhere around the planet—this is Earth's gravitational field. Fields can vary in strength depending on distance and the object creating them. They help us understand and predict how forces act on objects without physically touching them, playing a crucial role in physics, electromagnetism, and other sciences.
