The Fall of the Towers
The Fall of the Towers refers to the destruction of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Terrorists hijacked airplanes and deliberately crashed them into the buildings, causing structural failure. The impact damages combined with the fires ignited by burning jet fuel weakened the steel framework. As the steel heated and softened, the towers’ structures could no longer support their weight, leading to their collapse. This event was a tragic act of terrorism that resulted in significant loss of life and changed global security policies.
