The Expanded Universe (Legends)
The Expanded Universe (Legends) refers to all the Star Wars stories created outside the original films, including books, comics, TV shows, and games produced before 2014. These works explore characters, planets, and events beyond the core movies, expanding the franchise's universe. In 2014, Lucasfilm rebranded these stories as "Legends" to distinguish them from the new official canon established with Episode VII. While no longer considered part of the official storyline, Legends continue to be enjoyed by fans for their rich narratives and world-building, serving as a vast, interconnected repository of Star Wars lore beyond the movies.
