The Eucharist

The Eucharist, also called Holy Communion, is a Christian sacrament commemorating Jesus Christ's Last Supper with his disciples. During the service, bread and wine are consecrated and believed by many Christians to become the actual body and blood of Christ or symbols of his sacrifice. Participating in the Eucharist is a way for believers to spiritually unite with Christ, receive grace, and express community and devotion. It is considered one of the most important rites in many Christian traditions, focusing on remembrance, renewal, and the enduring presence of Christ among believers.
